PostHeaderIcon Vision of Ministry

In 2001 I challenged my own church to ask God for a vision of what His mission was for using Television as part of our total church ministry.

Key Points from this exercise are:

  • This ministry is not made up of just one person's vision but it incorporated the desires and dreams that God has given each person involved in the ministry.

  • "Dream Big"  The good thing about dreams is that they can be as big as you want them to be.  I don't ever dream about being ordinary.  I am always the hero, the expert, the best, the leader.  We are dreaming about what God can do in and through us we need to Dream Big.  Big enough for God.

  • Every Program or ministry our churches undertake is a reflection of Christ's love for his people.

  • God's vision may not always match our own.  Be prepared to find what God is doing and join Him - as Henry Blackaby said in Experiencing God.

PostHeaderIcon The Lord's Supper

One of the projects I have been working on for a number of years is a manual of creative worship services for the observance of the Lord's Supper. I have collected many ideas of how to share the Lord's Supper over the last 30 years and am always wanting to add new ideas.

If you have an interesting idea and would like to have your service included in the manual when it is published please submit it using the link to the right or Click- Submit Your Idea.

I will begin to include these on the site and share some all our visitors.

PostHeaderIcon Ministry Overview

This ministry was started in 1982 when I first became interested in television.  I left my church staff position and started Advantage Video with a few friends.

After several years of taping church services, commercials, political ads and various other industrial video I sold the business lock stock and barrel and moved to Fort Worth Texas to finish seminary.  My goal was to get a degree in communications from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.   My adviser there talked me out of this as he felt I know more about TV, Radio and Production than any of the professors.  So now I have a MARE but spend all my time involved in technology.

I guess there is one driving force that keeps a 50+ year old on the forefront of technology, whether it be computers, production or marketing and that is to stay as sharp as my kids are.  Granted there is a lot they know that I don't but it is always fun to be one step ahead like being the first to Twitter in my family.  Even my wife was Twittering before my grown kids.

Enough silliness.

I truly have a passion for using technology in ministry and after seminary I worked for the Southern Baptist Convention as a consultant  teaching local churches how to use Television as part of their ministry.

I do not subscribe to the idea that all we as Christians need to do is just preach the message of Jesus Christ.  I believe Jesus commanded us to "be in the world but not of the world."  As Ministers we should use every technique, every skill and every gift God has given us in His work, and the work we do should be the same or better than what the world can produce.

As you get familiar with this site you will find tips, ideas and outlines how you can improve your ministry.  If you ever need us just let us know and we will be glad to help you minister. Email Me This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

PostHeaderIcon Computer Policy

Many churches struggle with access to computer networks and Internet Access by volunteers. Some have adopted strict legal documents with the threat of "termination" and others have taken a much lighter position of "Trust", with volunteers. I think the need is for churches to find a balance which encourages ministry and service by volunteers with the need to protect sensitive data and patrol what is looked at on the internet.

PostHeaderIcon Cross Partners Formed

Four years ago I met a group of Christian Businessmen at a show for Collegiate Licensees.  At that time I owned College Covers, a manufacturer of College Logoed Sheets, Comforters, Curtains, Futon Covers and more.  Bob Stover and his partners had formed this concept but had not developed any products at that time.

Cross Partners now has a line of Christian T Shirts, hats, coffee mugs and more with the trademarked slogan "Don't Camouflage your Faith TM" and more displayed over a camo cross.

Another exciting product is their proprietary Water Filtration products.  These products will be used around the world to provide clean safe drinking water to a thirsty world. As people are ministered through physical water an opportunity is created to give them "Living Water" John 4:10 ff.

These products can be used as fund raisers or just a good solid product for a retailer to add to their business.

Cross Partners is looking to add additioinal product lines, services and partnerships with Christian businesses.
